Darick Ste-Marie

Meet Darick Ste-Marie: a testament to commitment, work ethic, and perseverance in the world of hockey. Despite going undrafted in the LHJMQ, Darick's determination led him to call Chicoutimi, earning himself an invitation to camp where he proved his worth and secured a spot on the team. Over three seasons in the LHJMQ, Darick showcased his skills with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens, the Quebec Remparts, and the Montreal Junior.

During his final year in Junior, Darick ventured to the Quesnel Millionaires of the                                            BCHL, where his dedication earned him the title of Most Dedicated Player of the                                            Year, along with being the top scorer in the playoffs for his team. Transitioning to                                            the professional realm, Darick joined the Akwesasne Warriors of the FHL,                                                        clinching a league championship in his debut season.

His talent caught the attention of the ECHL, leading him to don the

jersey of the Cincinnati Cyclones, before finding a home with the

Orlando Solar Bears. Despite the hurdles of an NHL lockout,

Darick's prowess shone as he returned to the FHL, becoming

the league's top goal scorer with an impressive 27 goals in 27 games,

before rejoining the Solar Bears.

Beyond his on-ice achievements, Darick's passion for hockey extends to coaching and mentoring aspiring players. Since 2016, he has been dedicated to sharing his experiences and expertise to help young talents hone their skills and achieve their dreams. Recently, Darick showcased his leadership as the Assistant Coach of the Bonnyville Pontiacs in the AJHL, eventually stepping up as Interim Head Coach during the 2023-24 season in Alberta.

With a remarkable journey marked by resilience and dedication,

Darick Ste-Marie continues to inspire both on and off the ice,

shaping the future of hockey, one player at a time.
